Cheerleading - Trust * Leadership & teamwork!
The decision to join our team is a big one, but equally rewarding! Being part of the team is a significant 10-month commitment, starting in September and ending in June. Cheerleading is the ultimate “team sport”. In order for routines to be choreographed and teams to be fully prepared and confident for competition, full team attendance is required at every practice. Formations, stunts, and pyramids cannot be practiced without full team attendance. Throughout the course of the year there will be competitions and performances to take part in; 100% attendance is expected at all scheduled events.
Participants try out for the team during spring training and up to the end of September. After that time, athletes must learn their routines and prepare for competition. If you are inquiring mid season, there may be suggestions how to best prepare and build skills for the upcoming year. Cartwheels offers a variety of gymnastics classes as well as Tumbling and trampoline. Our training is at the Surrey location, but team members may come from all over the lowermainland.
